A proud mother of two - Evan and Rosalie - and a true lover of family, Dr. Rebecca cares for all of her patients and her TEAM as if they are family. Drs. David & Rebecca met in dental school at the Medical College of Virginia. After graduation, they decided to return to Dr. David’s hometown of Charlottesville in 1995. Dr. Rebecca began her professional career as a dental hygienist receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at Old Dominion University in 1986. After practicing dental hygiene for four years, Dr. Rebecca made a return to dental school at the Medical College of Virginia after having received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1994 and furthered her education at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Dr. Rebecca’s dentistry reflects her personality- thoughtful, thorough, and creative. She loves getting to know her patients and feels the best way to care for them is by including them in a thoughtful plan with similar goals in mind.
Dr. Rebecca is currently the Chairman of the Dental Advisory Committee for the Charlottesville Free Clinic and has served on the Board of the Charlottesville Free Clinic for the past 5 years. Dr. Rebecca enjoys skiing, camping, scuba diving, art, and any time she can be with her family.
Dr. David Swett, an avid Wahoo fan and proud father of Evan and Rosalie, attended St Anne’s Belfield in Charlottesville before studying at the University of Virginia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Dr. David received his DDS degree in 1994 from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry then furthered his education and training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He then whisked his bride to Charlottesville to start Swett Dentistry in 1996.
Dr. David enjoys providing excellent dental care to his patients as conservatively as possible. He believes patient education is paramount in helping his patients decide on the best course of treatment for their particular needs. Dr. David has a warm smile, and it is apparent that everyone that comes in contact with him feels that genuine warmth and kindness.
Dr. David has been a free clinic volunteer dentist since 2000 and has served on the board of directors from 2006 to 2012. He is on the Board of Deacons at First Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville. Dr. David loves to hike, camp, ski, play cards, cheer on those ‘Hoos, and spend time with family and friends.
