Dr. Rebecca Swett

A proud mother of two — Evan and Rosalie — and a true lover of family, Dr. Rebecca cares for all of her patients and her team as if they are family. She began her professional career as a dental hygienist, earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University in 1986. After practicing hygiene for four years, she returned to dental school at the Medical College of Virginia, received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994, and furthered her education at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Drs. David and Rebecca met in dental school at the Medical College of Virginia. After graduation they returned to Dr. David's hometown of Charlottesville in 1995 and opened Swett Dentistry the following year. Dr. Rebecca's dentistry reflects her personality — thoughtful, thorough, and creative. She loves getting to know her patients and believes the best way to care for them is to include them in a thoughtful plan built around shared goals.

Dr. Rebecca is currently Chairperson of the Dental Advisory Committee for the Charlottesville Free Clinic, and served on the Free Clinic's board for five years. Outside the office she enjoys skiing, camping, scuba diving, art, and any time she can be with her family.
